That's right, I've taken the Pinterest Challenge! This was a brilliant idea thought up by Mrs. Katie Bower. Teaming up with fellow bloggers, a plan was made to actually create something from all those eye candy photos we love. Instead of simply pinning, it's time to create something from your inspirations. If new to the Pinterest world, you can check out my last post about it here.
I have jumped on board with these lovely ladies and tackled the challenge. Since I work with kiddos day in and day out I decided to create some nifty discovery bottle.
Here's is the original picture I pinned from Pinterest. The picture and tutorial was from an excellent family friendly blog Meet The Dubiens .
I decided to also use the Voss water bottles. I had to pay $5.99 from Home Goods for a pack of six, but I thought it was worth it for the long term use of the bottles. They are very sturdy, no ridges like most bottled waters, and are easier for little curious minds to view what's inside them.
Inside the bottles:
From the top
1. water and a beaded neckalce
2. water and foam numbers and letters
3. water and glitter
4. water and mixed beads
5. water and nature elements (rocks and fake leaves)
6. water and ribbon
It's amazing what you can find laying around the house for these things!
Next, I began to work on the holder for the bottles.
Here's how it's done...
Glue scrapbook paper to sides
I had some left over blue spray paint that I used to spray the handle
Voss Water $6
Scrapbook paper $.50
Glue had at home FREE
Items in bottles found around the house FREE
Holder ready to head to trash FREE
There you have it friends. Hope you enjoy! I'm linked up with Katie, Sherry, Emily, and Lana; check out their projects also.
